Director & Producer Cherry Duke presents the 2nd annual GIVING VOICE concert with Opera UTEP.

The GIVING VOICE Festival was founded in 2020 by El Paso Opera and Opera UTEP to amplify the voices of Latinx artists in the opera industry. The 2021 headlining guest artist, Cecilia Duarte, will star in this one-night-only concert of Latin American music, alongside the talented singers of Opera UTEP.

  • Notes: As part of El Paso Opera and Opera UTEP’s GIVING VOICE festival, headlining artist mezzo-soprano Cecilia Duarte and the Opera UTEP singers perform an all-Latin American concert. The concert features familiar Latin American songs as well as art songs from México and beyond. Also featuring: Prof. Diana Esparza, soprano Prof. Hiram Rodriguez and his guitar students Dr. Esequiel Meza, pianist and vocal coach Cherry Duke, director and producer This concert is presented with support from the UTEP Hispanic Heritage Celebration. Tickets: $5 Adults $3 Students/Military Free for UTEP Faculty, Students and Staff
