On August 23, 2024, Cherry was selected as the second-place winner The American Prize in Vocal Performance—art song and oratorio division, 2024—The Friedrich and Virginia Schorr Memorial Awards in the Professional Women’s Division.

The American Prize National Nonprofit Competitions in the Performing Arts is the nation’s most comprehensive series of contests in the performing arts.
