First International Marathon of Hispanic Women Pianists/Composers

Join Dr. Dena Kay Jones, her students and special guests as they participate with other international musicians in an online streaming marathon of piano works by Hispanic Women. Our October 1 concert will be a live event in UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Center, Room M340.
Organized by FIMTE (Festival of International Spanish Keyboard Music) of Garrucha, Spain, the live performance on the UTEP campus will simultaneously be broadcast through Facebook Livestream. Works by Tania Leon, Cacilda Borges Barbosa, Ernestina Lecuona, Angélica Negrón, Adriana Verdie, Sofía Matus Cancino, Maria Rodrigo and Mariana Martine are scheduled for performance. There will be other guest performers on the program, including Professor Cherry Duke, mezzo soprano.
